Key Casing

Overview

This winter, my key broke off in the lock of my car. Instead of purchasing a new key for $150, I 3D printed a new case since the metal part of the key was still intact. One thing I learned is that modern cars also use transponders to prevent hotwiring. This lead me through a few different iterations where I finally landed on the design with a small slot and cover. I cut the old transponder out of the casing, and it works great.
